The Web’s Top Internet Marketing Blogs – Where Do You Rank?

A couple of days ago, Gyutae Park from Winning the Web sent me an email telling me about his latest project: The Top Internet Marketing Blogs List. At first, I thought it was going to be just another 45n5 Top 100 list, but after checking it out, I saw that it was more like an updated version of the 45n5 list.

Top IM Blog\'s List

Gyutae’s list ranks blogs according to the number of points they have. Points that are awarded to each blog according to the number of its feed subscribers, Alexa/Technorati/Compete rank, inbound links, and a few other factors as well.

A few things I specifically liked about Gyutae’s list is that you can vote for your favorite blogs?a great way to encourage user interaction?and separate blogs according to their category. My blog, which is in the “Make Money Online” category currently ranks 208 out of the complete list, and about 40 when I choose to show only the “Make Money Online” blogs.

However, there are a few bugs that I think Gyutae should turn his attention to. For example, I noticed that the RSS subscription button does not link to the blog’s feed, and that when you separate blogs by category, their ranks stay the same. (I don’t know if this is a bug or just something Gyutae didn’t think about.)

If your blog is on the list (just contact Gyutae if it isn’t) then you can get a custom code from the site that will add a slick badge to your blog. (Another way to persuade advertisers that your blog is the right choice!)

Where do you rank on the list of top Internet Marketing blogs?

Update: You know what funny? That almost 99% of the blogs in that list don’t teach you how to build residual income!

  1. This is awesome. My blog is not on there. Though I have sent him an email so hopefully it should be on there soon (I think it deserves to be on there). This is a really cool tool and I really like it.
Thanks for letting us know about it

  2. Well, I was not a bit surprised after looking at the rankings. However, what got my attention was the 14th ranked “Performancing”…I had followed the blog, but not so closely. By first impression, its looks ordinary with not much of a visual impression. The stats also do not give an indication of a mainstream blog. But the saying “Content is King” once again takes center stage. All the blog entries are original and very interesting to read.

I am still going through all other blogs and may come up with further comments. BTW, off topic, its really nice to see Rajaietalks once again doing what it is renowned for…quality informative posts :)

  3. Hey Rajaie,
Thanks for the mention! I’m glad you and your readers find the tool to be useful.

As for the bugs, the RSS link should open up a popup that shows the most recent posts on that blog. Do you see it?

Also, it’s currently not possible to re-adjust the ranks based on category.

Thanks for the feedback and let me know if anything else comes up. :)

  4. I am currently placed at 231 on the overall list and at 24 on the Blogging category. Thanks for Gyutae for the inclusion :) and I hope I will climb up there.

(I would have preferred to be in the Make money online category, but then hey, it doesn’t harm to be in the company of Darren, Jeff, Daniel etc  )

  5. My rank keeps dropping when more authority sites are added into the list. I’m now at #157. It’s so competitive here.

Ryan – I’m sure it’ll be up by the next update (Monday)

Forsaken – I was also surprised to see the “Performancing” on the list, not because it doesn’t deserve it, but because I never heard of it before.

Gyutae – Oh, I didn’t actually try clicking it, sorry :P

Ajith – LOL, the Blogging category isn’t bad either.

Yan – Wow, #157 is pretty good compared to my ranking!

Harish – Don’t forget to contact Gyutae so he can include your blog in the list.

  8. I believe I was not in the list. But then its all fine w/me. :-)

  9. I like this idea.

It’ll end up being a whose who of all the most successful bloggers.

Do you reckon it’ll become very popular and recognised outside of the hardcore blogging community?

  10. This is where the IM blogger’s rule.. they get exposure by this system and I am sure that I don’t have to wait for long to see you in the top 50’s by this year end..

    Wish you luck and Success

    Regards
    Sid

  11. My blog isn’t listed there. I’ve got to contact Gyutae immediately to list my blog. :)

  12. Very usefull list just to see who is who. However I don’t understand how cpa affiliates is 2 places above your blog, while it’s been updated last July. Strange…

  13. I ranked none, probably will contact the owner later :)

  14. I hope I make it to this list next year ;) I am actively promoting my blog and hope to make good out of it :)

  15. Looks like a great list, and a lot more competitive then 45n5s one. I was a little worried when I saw internet marketing blog, because you could interpret that several different ways, but it looks like he’s including the same blogs as the 45n5 list, although he does have several extra. I was a little confused about why he had blog catalog on there… but it’s still definately a much better grader then 45n5. The addition of the rss subscribers was a great idea, though I question adding compete ranking. That is updated monthly, and so it’s hard to get a good estimate with that. Thanks for sharing.

  16. Cool list. Problogger really is the no1 blogging blog :D

  17. Looks interesting. I’m sure he will have fun with this. Depends on how these are being graded as well.

  18. I am at 245 …under top 300 internet marketing blog :) I ll take that for now :)

  19. I am now at 218 :) ..moving fast

  20. I’ve just signed up to this website. It’s great because you get a free backlink as well as some exposure.

  21. I think the idea of blogs being graded is not bad all. What has happened since then?

game-girl – My rank hasn’t pretty much changed, but I haven’t been working much on promoting my site these weeks.
