Google PageRank Updated
Google PageRank. Two words that drive the actions of thousands of webmasters all around the web throughout the year. What is it?
PageRank is a link analysis algorithm that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of “measuring” its relative importance within the set. The algorithm may be applied to any collection of entities with reciprocal quotations and references. The numerical weight that it assigns to any given element E is also called the PageRank of E and denoted by PR(E)

In other words, Google PageRank is a rating system for websites from 1 to 10 that tells you how important Google thinks your website is. So websites with a Google PageRank of 7 are much better (in Google’s opinion) than websites with a Google PageRank of 2.
The rankings are updated every 2-3 months and are not guaranteed to increase every time. A website’s Google PageRank is based upon how many sites link to it and the GooglePage Rank of those websites.
Since many webmasters are actively pursuing a higher PageRank, they buy links on high PageRank websites believing that will help, thus, a high PageRank = money. A lot of people couldn’t care less about their Google PageRank, but if it helps make money, I’m sure it doesn’t hurt 
Anyway, Google has been performing a PageRank update these couple of days and am proud to say that this blog has gone from a PageRank 0 to a PageRank 3. It’s not really that big of a deal, but it sure does put a smile on my face Especially since it’s higher than my friend and competitor Melvin.
So what does this mean? Nothing really, although, it might be a bit helpful if I were to mention it on my advertise page

Congrats on the increases. You’re right, toolbar Page Rank really isn’t everything but it’s still nice to see improvement. Have you seen any increases in your Google rankings and organic traffic as well?

Pagerank is a useless tool and one which Google should get rid of. I received a pagerank of 3 and as far as im concerned Google can stick it where ths sun dont shine.
Pagerank is good for one thing and thats for those who like to break Google terms and sell links.
A lot of my sites got a pr raise but since your site is mainly a blogging blog then I will stay relevant :p My unlocktheonlineworld.com blog got a raise of pr0 to pr2
No PR increase lately, but no decrease either… Maybe next time

Melvin had hit PR2 :p so congratz :p my main blog didn’t hit PR4 this time but my comedy blog went from PR0 to 2 in one month (world-for-fun.com) so happy about that!
@ David I disagree; one of the main purposes of pagerank is that it help alot in the serps and search engine traffic; since the update i have already seen an increase in SE traffic; though i expect this to decrease one all the PR is dished out, but an increase is an increase,

Well, congrats on the PR3 that’s huge! I squeaked out with a pr 1 but I’m happy with it. I thought I had quite a few links but I guess not! Oh well, I’ll continue building and networking as normal, letting my site’s reach grow organically.

I got my first non-zero figure (from zero to 2) in this update. Having launched the blog in mid April, I should have got at least 3 or 4 if concentrated on some link building
Anyways, 2 is better than 0 and 1 LOL…

My blog had a PR2 before this update and… is still PR2 xD I’m aware that I slowed down my posting rate (I had a lot of work a the office!!) so maybe that was one of the reasons why my blog didn’t got a higher rank. It’s not all lost, though, since my blog didn’t went down either
