A Bit Of Link Love And A Few Announcements

Other blogs publish announcements and link love posts every week, so why not me? That’s why I have decided to start publishing similar posts at the end of the month.

Link Love
I once read a post that listed 20 reasons or so explaining why a blog sucks, not linking to other blogs was one of them. Obviously, I don’t want my blog to suck, so here’s a bit of link love for everyone! :D

The Blogosphere
Blogging Idol has finally come to an end and the Stock Market India blog has been declared the winner of the $1,500 prize, congratulations! :)

The increase in traffic and subscribers this month was pretty big but still not good enough for me, anyway, here are my goals for August:
RSS Subscribers: 200
Daily Unique Visitors: 250
Daily Pageviews: 500

I will mainly be focusing on writing content specifically for social media websites and limiting myself to one experiment per month, that will keep me and you happy. Even though some of my posts will be a bit offtopic this month, I will continue posting my regular type of articles and aiming to increase the daily number of published posts, I’m sure you guys won’t mind ;)

I also published an article listing this month’s best posts and will continue to post similar articles at the end of every month. This will help increase the number of pageviews on older articles and introduce some of my old posts to my new readers.

For those of you who don’t know, I started using twitter a couple of days ago and would be pleased if you would follow me. In one of my tweets, I said that I was working on a killer theme for you guys, sadly, it turned out being harder and taking much longer than I had anticipated. In other words, it’s going to be a while till I release the theme, but the delay will be very much worth it, trust me ;)

In regards to my own theme, I will be adding a few things that have always seemed to be missing from it. Submission links to social media sites, recent posts, related posts, and a few other things needed to perfect the theme will also be added.

Something I have decided to stop doing is replying to all the comments on my posts. Not because I don’t appreciate them (I really do), but because I don’t want to inflate the number of comments the posts get. But if you ask any questions, those will definitely be answered, your comments are very appreciated!

All in all, July was a good month but I am certain that August will be much better. Have a happy August!

    but for visitors its gonna be 500+ (its already 300)

  6. I’m glad you joined Twitter and I’m now following you. I agree with you about the commenters, but for me it’s a tough call. I want to show people that I really do care about them. So I try to reply to comments that give my readers something new. So if it’s a good comment that gives a different angle then I’m going to show my appreciation.
